The mechanical 8-day 4/4 Westminster chime mechanism with 11 stone echappement and automatic night shut-off drives the mechanism, which shows the movement of the sun, moon and earth in annual rotation. The rotating sun god, globe, moon and echappement West Minster sun, moon and zodiacal signs are made of cast metal and color-coordinated with the date disc.
