About Us

Dear Visitors and Customers,

our company Grossuhren.de grew up from a traditional clockmaker family.

In 1919, Ernst Breitenbach founded a jewlery and clock store in Siegen-Weidenau (North Rhine-Westphalia). After his death in 1952 his daughther Hilde and her husband Walter Pohlmann took over the store. They both managed the store until 1985. In the year 2009 Walter Pohlmann passed away in the high age of 99 years.
Fascinated by his parents` work, their son Martin Pohlmann became a clockmaker as well. In 1978 after his clockmaker apprenticeship, he and his wife Gudrun decided to open another jewlery and clock store in Bramsche near Osnabrück. In 1984, both moved to Herford and continued their business until the end of 2005. During their time in Herford, they started with their online presence and established their first online shop.
Hence,we can proudly say that Grossuhren.de looks back on a long development process.

We hope, that Grossuhren.de, as a result of our tradition and long term experience contributes to your satisfaction. If you have any further questions we would like to invite you to send us an e-mail.
