In this small size you also have security on board with a ship's clock, tide indicator, barometer, hygrometer or thermometer. This Altitude 848 series is made of high quality 0.8 mm thick brass with a case diameter of 97 mm. The surface is high gloss polished and tarnish resistant lacquered. The front glass consists of PMMA acrylic glass. Configurations from 7 variants to suit your personal combination. The Quartz ship clocks get their energy from a Mignon battery LR 6 AA. This makes the Delite 848C autonomous and very precise for about 1 year. As a special feature, the Quartz ship's clock has a red second hand, barometer and tide indicator, the dial print is available in English or French.

The tide indicator
The time from the highest position of the sun one day to the highest position the next day is 24 hours. But for the moon it is 24 hours, 50 minutes and 28 seconds. Therefore the ebb and flow cycle can only be displayed with a watch if the time is 50 minutes and 20 seconds longer than a normal day. Therefore a normal watch cannot display the cycle between high and low tide, but needs a special tide clock/tide graph/tide indicator.
