Mechanical Wall Clock with 8-Day Chain-Driven Movement
At the heart of the WU1130 is the proven mechanical Hermle calibre 241. The clock is powered entirely by its weights and requires neither batteries nor an electrical connection.
The 8-day chain-driven movement normally needs to be wound only once a week. The weights are simply raised again using the chains, after which gravity supplies the energy required to operate the clock and striking mechanism.
The mechanical striking mechanism announces the half hours and full hours on a gong. The strike can be switched off whenever an acoustic time signal is not desired.
Long Pendulum and Handcrafted Brass Weights
A particularly attractive feature is the combination of the long pendulum and visible weights. The brass-cased weights are handcrafted and feature solid turned tops and bottoms with an antique finish.
The approximately 80 cm long pendulum rod carries a solid, antique-finished pendulum bob. Thanks to the open construction, the pendulum and weights remain fully visible and become an integral part of the clock's distinctive design.

Before installation, the mechanical movement is checked and adjusted by Helmut Mayr and lubricated where necessary. The clock is then tested with its original pendulum and individually regulated.
