At its heart is the mechanical Hermle W0058 cable-driven movement with a running time of approximately 8 days. Two separate weight-driven trains power the time and strike mechanisms. No batteries or electrical connection are required.

Full calendar with moon phase

One of the outstanding features of the Hermle 70650-740058 is its elaborate full calendar. In addition to the time, the dial displays the date, weekday, month and current moon phase.

The moon-phase display is positioned at 12 o'clock, while the date is indicated around the outer edge of the dial. Two additional subdials display the weekday and month.

Mechanical 8-day W0058 movement

The mechanical Hermle W0058 movement features separate trains for timekeeping and striking. Energy is supplied by two weights suspended from fine cable pulleys.

The clock requires winding approximately once a week and operates entirely mechanically without batteries or electricity.

Half-hour and hour strike

The mechanical striking mechanism also indicates the time acoustically. One strike sounds on the half hour, while the appropriate number of strikes indicates the full hour.

A hammer strikes a tone spring to produce the characteristic sound of a traditional mechanical regulator. The striking mechanism can be manually switched off. This model does not feature automatic night shut-off.

Black, chrome and glass

The elegant black case gives this traditional mechanical regulator a distinctly contemporary character. Bevelled front glass and side glazing provide an attractive view of the visible mechanical components.
