AMS 356 – Mechanical Brass Pendulum Wall Clock with Weights
The AMS 356 combines traditional mechanical clockmaking with a distinctive design without a wooden case. The brass front ring, diamond-turned dial and polished pendulum give this mechanical weight-driven wall clock its elegant and individual appearance.
At the heart of the clock is a mechanical 8-day chain-driven movement. Two weights provide the energy required for the timekeeping and striking mechanisms. The clock is wound approximately once a week by raising the weights and requires neither batteries nor electricity.
Mechanical Striking Mechanism
The traditional striking mechanism also indicates the time acoustically. At the half hour, the clock sounds a single strike, while at the full hour it strikes the corresponding number of hours. The striking mechanism can be manually switched off when required.
Brass Finish and Visible Mechanics
With a diameter of only approximately 22 cm, the AMS 356 is particularly compact. The brass front ring, diamond-turned dial, black hands and Roman numerals create a distinctive contrast. The long polished pendulum together with the visible chains and weights emphasises the traditional mechanical character of the clock.
