Mechanical pendulum clockwork with cable winding
This movement from Hermle caliber 0351 works with the right drives and wheels. Every 8 days the weights and the springs have to be wound up using a crank. This means that the mechanical movement always has the same driving force available and shows the exact time. Westminster chimes on gong bars every 15 minutes
Every 15 minutes, the Westminster melody sounds from the gongs, rising from one bar to 4/4 of the clock. The number of hours is then announced acoustically. The so-called hammers hit the gong bars and create a subtle sound experience. The movement has an automatic night shut-off.
