AMS 2725 – Mechanical Design Regulator in Stone, Aluminium and Glass
The AMS 2725 demonstrates how traditional mechanical clockmaking can be combined with contemporary architecture and design. Stone, aluminium, glass and polished metal create the distinctive minimalist appearance of this exceptional mechanical wall clock.
Behind its contemporary design is a traditional 8-day mechanical cable-driven movement. The clock receives its energy entirely from a weight and requires no batteries or electrical connection.
Traditional mechanics in contemporary design
The substantial weight is housed inside a polished chrome-plated cylinder. Its energy is transferred to the mechanical movement via a cable pulley.
The clock is wound approximately once a week using a crank. Thanks to the extensive glazing, the weight, cable and pendulum remain visible and become an integral part of the design.
Stone, aluminium and glass
The exceptional combination of materials is one of the defining features of the AMS 2725. A structured stone surface forms the background, complemented by aluminium, mineral glass and polished metal components.
Its clean architectural design makes this regulator particularly suitable for contemporary interiors, loft apartments and rooms featuring concrete, glass, steel and natural stone.
Diamond-turned aluminium dial
The finely finished aluminium dial features clear Arabic numerals and a precise outer minute track. Black hands provide excellent contrast against the bright metallic dial.
A small bell belonging to the mechanical striking mechanism is visibly positioned above the dial.
One bell strike on every full hour
Instead of a traditional hour-counting strike or melody, the AMS 2725 provides a particularly discreet acoustic indication: a single bell strike sounds on every full hour.
This subtle signal marks the beginning of each new hour without dominating the room with an extensive striking sequence.
Rod pendulum and visible weight drive
The long rod pendulum and polished weight emphasise the vertical architecture of the clock. Together with the transparent glass case, they give the regulator an elegant and visually lightweight appearance.
With a height of approximately 96 cm, the AMS 2725 creates an impressive presence while retaining its minimalist character.
